Star Fruit

Native to Indonesia, the tropical Star Fruit also known as Carambola. Bright yellow with a waxy looking skin, the fruit is oval in shape with sharp ridged edges, making it resemble a star when cut crossways. The flesh is bland but juicy. Eat raw in slices, either on its own or added to fruit salads. In China and India, Star fruit is used as vegetable.
